one week left to “be good” before christmas. and my “be good” means eating clean and working out. I’ve already screwed up today with chic-fil-a. I was stress eating after a failed attempt to conquer the mall. the goal was to complete my christmas shopping in a single lunch hour. failed. freaked out. found myself in the drive-thru. it was horrific.

newest obsession: spinning

spin class was amazing last night. it was a lot easier this time. I was sweating and pedaling like crazy; felt SO good. it’s my newest obsession; I’m ready to get the shoes, the padded shorts, and a heart monitor. I’m hooked! so glad I’ve discovered this new workout, and I feel like it will become an addiction the way zumba took over my life last july. mission goodbye cellulite, hello sexy legs is about to go down.

I’m officially a yogi. I went to a yoga scultp class yesterday {yoga with weights} and I am obsessed. I wish I could go every single day. it hurts SO good. I’m so sore today, I can barely lift my leg. I also accomplished the goal I set on friday to workout everyday this weekend. I went to the gym friday after work, went for a 35 minute jog on saturday, and yoga yesterday. taking a break tonight for a sushi date with my man. he surprised me yesterday with new nikes. I’m SO excited. I’ve wanted new tennis shoes since august. no more granny mall-walking shoes for this girl. I’m offish with these new kicks.

I decided yesterday that I will no longer drink milk. as much as I love milk, I might as well drink cement {if you catch my drift}. I’m determined to drink 10 bottles of water today. so thankful it’s friday. I have a busy day at work then it’s to the gym for some hiit, weight training, and then the sauna. my goal is to also work out tomorrow and then go to yoga again on sunday. I love yoga, just hope it isn’t clique-y like spin was.

since starting my weight loss journey, I’ve heard a lot of about interval workouts or high intensity interval training. this is what I started out doing with the jillian michael’s ripped in thirty dvd, but quit that mess after a week. yesterday, I asked the blogging world how to become more toned and sculpted. I got a little feedback, including a comment from stephanie about hiit. so last night while I was on the treadmill, I decided to give it a try. is it weird to say I enjoyed this workout and it actually made it go by faster? due to my time limitations, I was only able to go for ten minutes, but also thought that would be a good way to start. it was tough, and I was drenched after those ten minutes. my legs were still feeling it by the time and I got home and this morning when I woke up. I definitly think I could have gone longer. I’m trying another spin class tonight, and I’m sure will do some interval stuff there. excited.
